Hiking in Kamakura: Kuzuhara-Daibutsu, Ten-en Course 鎌倉ハイキング・町散策:葛原岡~大仏、天園コース

Fuji (weather permitted) Today, we (my guide friend Ikemen-S and I) started at Enoden Hase Station (江ノ電、長谷駅). After a walk on the road, just before the tunnel, we climbed the stair to enter the Kuzuhara-Daibutsu (Daibutsu = Big Budha) hiking course. We passed the mountain behind the famous Kamakura Big Buddha, since the trees were dense, we could not see the Big Buddha from the mountain. Kamakura city is surrounded by mountain, though it is not that high. The highest point is Mount Ohira (大平山), only 149.2 m above sea level. After a while, we passed Kuzuharaoka Shrine. There is a place where you can trow a small plate to the rock. It is said that you put all your bad things in the plate, and by throwing it into peaces to the rock, your bad things will go away.
